Welcome
to
Western horses on the Web!

In 1519 a Spanish explorer, sailed to North America with a group of horses. One of those horses was reported to be a sorrel with white spots. By the early 1800s, the western plains were populated with wild horses, including horses of spotted colour. The spotted horse type was a favorite of the Comanche Indians. The colour pattern soon became popular with others and a registry for the American Paint Horse was created, the American Paint Horse Association -APHA.
Please feel free to browse around, add your equine link, photographs or sign the guestbook. Created for Paint, Quarter Horse and Western Riding enthusiasts in the UK and especially the North of England and the Borders. We welcome your feedback and encourage you to participate in the site by submitting articles, ideas, tips, add upcoming shows and events to the calendar, in fact anything interesting!
Here in deepest Northumberland we are a little short of Western trainers, so we would particularly like your input!
